2004 Pointscore discussion

At the general meeting held on Wednesday 10th December, changes to the pointscore calculations for 2004 were discussed and agreed. A copy of the revised document will be posted to the website as soon as it is completed.

NEW LICENCE FEES

As of 1 December 2003, new AKA licence fees will apply for all new licences and renewals. The new form is available on the Forms page. Note also, you now need to fill in one of two new waivers depending on whether you are over or under 18.

NOTICE - Working Bee And Test & Tune - Sunday 30th November

There will be a Test & Tune practice on Sunday 30th November to make up for not having one last week due to the Canberra Cup meeting.
The Test & Tune sessions will start as soon as the Working Bee is finished.
If you help out at the Working Bee, Test & Tune will be free practice. If not, it will cost you $10. So, come along and help out in the morning. The more that do, the quicker Test & Tune can start.

ACT TITLES

The ACT Titles meeting will be held on the weekend of 6th and 7th December. All classes will complete their races on one of the 2 days.
On Saturday 6th, the following classes will compete: MIDGETS, ROOKIES, JUNIOR NATIONAL LIGHT, SENIOR NATIONAL LIGHT, SPORTSMAN LIGHT and ROTAX LIGHT.
On Sunday 7th, the following classes will compete: JUNIOR NATIONAL HEAVY, SENIOR NATIONAL HEAVY, SPORTSMAN HEAVY, ROTAX HEAVY, ROTAX SPORTS, JUNIOR SPORTSMAN (Yamaha kt100s & ARC spec 100a 130KG; ARC spec 100w 135KG).
Racing format will be 3 heats 10 laps, pre-final 12 laps, final 15 laps; Total 57 laps.

PRESENTATION & CHRISTMAS PARTY

The Annual Presentation & Christmas Party will be held at 7pm on Saturday the 13th December at the National Indoor Sports/Cricket Centre, Mouat Street, Lyneham. Cost is $30 for adults, $10 for children under 13 and tickets must be purchased before the event.

NOTICE - OLT - Sunday 30th November - Correction to time

There will be an OLT held at the track this Sunday 30th December. Note however that the commencement time is 1 PM, not 9:30am as previously advised.

Congratulations to Brian Kelleher on blitzing the Canberra Cup with 7 wins out of 8 races.

PHOTOS OF SUPER 8 SERIES - FINAL ROUND

Photos from the super 8 series final round held in October are now available in the photo gallery. If anyone finds a photo they like and would like it in high quality (2048x1536) they can contact Jason Blackman at the track on race days (just remember to note the file number in the caption). The following classes have photos: Senior National Heavy, Rotax Heavy, Sportsman Light, and Rotax Light. A couple of Pat Atkinson in the rain as well.

We are pleased to announce that Sadil Quinlan Real Estate is to sponsor the November open sprint. Also as a special bonus for the club, Sadil Quinlan will donate $500 dollars to the club for every house listed and sold by Sadil Quinlan if the Canberra Kart Racing Club is mentioned.
