We are seeking volunteers to help out with each monthly race meeting, If you are able to help out, please call Kylie.

The club also offers several sponsorhip opportunities for local businesses to support events and to help out the club for the upcoming 2012 karting season. Your business will get great exposure to the local and interstate karting community at race meetings and practice days throughout the year.

The Canberra Kart Racing Club is one of only a few clubs around Australia that has Live commentary at most race meetings during the year and gives our sponsors a greater exposure to the the public.

The first round of the 2012 CKRC season, will be held on the 29th January 2012.

Rookies
Junior National Light

Restricted Sportman @ 170kg

The club is currently seeking volunteers to assist with the running of the race meeting. If you are able to help the club, please call Kylie Otter on 6241 0446.

If you would like to complete your compulsory flag day, please advise Kylie Otter ASAP.

Remember to charge your transponder. As advised by the AKA last year, on July 1 it will be compulsory for all competitors to have a transponder fitted to their kart while competing – with no exceptions. NO TRANSPONDER - NO RACE!

Working Bee - Working Bee - Working Bee

Sunday 22nd January 2012

The club will be holding the October working bee this Sunday 22nd January 2012 from 9am.

The track will be closed from 9am untill the working bee is complete.

We need as many members as possible on Sunday to help clean up the track. Remember, to be eligible for the club's championship, you need to complete at least one working bee.

Please see Tony Prendergast or Bruce Otter on arrival to have your name recorded.

CHRISTMAS PARTY & PRESENTATION NIGHT

10th December 2011

This years christmas party and presentation night will be held on saturday 10th December 2011

Also, a reminder to all, Santa will be making an apperance on Saturday night, please call Santa's helper Kylie if you have any questions about this.

The final round of the 2011 CKRC season, will be held on the 20th November 2011.

The 2011 Canberra Cup is a one day event.

CKRC - ProTour - 28th, 29th & 30th October 2011

Entries for ProTour Canberra close ths Friday, 21st October 2011. It's important to get your entry in on time - any late entries will not be included in the program. For more information on how to enter, please download the Supplementary Regulations for the website www.rotax.com.au

Control fuel for this meeting will be from the BP Service Station on the Corner of Yass Road & Endurance Avenue, Queanbeyan.

Allocation of pit spaces and the erection of marquees must be arranged through the Canberra Kart Racing Club. Please contact Bruce Otter 0439 881152

CKRC - Track Access - 23rd - 26th September 2011

The track has been hired out to both Butterfly Farm & Picton Kart Club this weekend.

CKRC members are welcome to race on Sunday. However, this is not an AKA event.

The time table will be as follows.

Friday 23rd Sept 2011

- Practice will be conducted by the Indy 800 Kart Track

- Practice times 9am - 4pm

Saturday 24th Sept 2011

- Race event to be conducted by Picton Kart Club.

- 4 hour endurance race in F4 Subaru KX21DU Karts

Sunday 25th Sept 2011

- Race event to be conducted by Indy 800 Kart Track

- Gates open 7am
- Sign on and Scrutineering 7.30 - 8.30am
- Practice - 8.30 - 9.15am
- Racing Starts 9.30 Entries

- 4 strokes

Entries - Seniors:

- 4 strokes and Subaru's

CKRC - Membership Fee Increase

As voted on at the 2011 AGM, CKRC membership fees will increase effective immediately. Membership cards will be issued shortly. Please have your membership card handy when your at the track.

Family Membership $190 (capped at $290)

Senior Membership $160

Junior Membership $130

This increase will entitle each Canberra AKA licence holder unlimited practice at the Canberra Kart Racing Club's Track for 12 months. This $100 increase covers one CKRC licenced member, However, family membership will be capped at $290 for those families that have 2 or more licenced members.

All non-club members will continue to pay $30 per day for use of the track.
